Ninja Bechamel

i wanted to include some of the more basic dishes into my recipe blog
and at the same time take a break from the very long ragu recipe of weeks past

so i decided to teach you dear readers how to make the very basic bechamel sauce
and improve upon it to suit one's taste.


"bechamel" is just another fancy term for a roux-based sauce where milk is added (and "roux" is an equally fanciful term for a cooked flour-and-butter paste).

here we shall turn a very simple sauce base with very simple ingredients into something delicious that can be served on pasta (or rice), used as a gravy for fried and roasted meat, or incorporated into baked pasta as a creamy topping.
